Professional profile for Mila Borden 

Mila Borden serves in a variety of leadership roles across a wide area of interests.

As a communications and marketing professional, her expertise includes industries in medical, financial, real estate, and nonprofit sectors. In 2001, she established a wholesale company of disposable products with distribution channels in four states.

The Governor of Tennessee recognized her twice, for leadership in a crisis during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. She worked on disaster preparedness planning in conjunction with the office of the President of The United States (POTUS).
In Memphis, her team was responsible for changing laws that allowed financial reimbursement across state lines for life-saving medical treatment in three states.

Mila earned an MBA in strategic management and has extensive experience in advertising, marketing and public relations. She edited five books and a monthly magazine. She managed the marketing department at the Regional Medical Center where she won numerous professional awards including Marketing Department of the Year for four consecutive years.

Mila chaired the strategic committee of the Shelby County Mayor's Young Professional Council and served as vice chair on the Design Review Board of the Downtown Memphis Commission, in charge of downtown Memphis development projects. 

As a native of Ukraine, Mila speaks Russian and takes an active interest in international development. In the past, she has contributed articles for Ukraine Business Insight. As an avid traveler, she has personal and professional contacts all over the world.

Mila is dedicated to lifelong learning and sharing knowledge with others. Her most recent projects include ecoagriculture and soil bioremediation.
